Problems creating a snow-capped pine filler

I'm trying to make a snowy pine filler for the northern regions of my map. I was able to successfully create a jungle filler based on one of the other forest fillers. Now, I can't get my snowy pine one to work properly. For some reason, it inserts random patches of varicolor pines. Also note that I had to go to the symbol catalog in C:\Program Files\ProFantasy\CC3\Symbols\Maps\CC3\vegetation.fsc to find the patches of Snowy Pines that I need. Don't know if that changes anything...

  • Why don't you provide us a look at your map before we can give you any advice! There, we can make a suggestion on what to do. And, by the way, just simply providing a url to a picture on your C drive will not let us see what you are trying to tell. Trust me, I had to learn that simple fact as well. You should attach a picture of the map to your thread or learn html and provide a link.

One possible reason for the wrong symbols appearing with a new filler is, that there are already some symbols with the same name in the map. The filler would then use those instead of the ones you want.

I've attached my own template for a new filler catalog, This is based on a 5x5 basic unit. You can fill the file's symbols with snow-capped pine symbols (remember to explode those) to create a new filler catalog.

And here is a filler setting for the above template, as an example to to set it up in the "Fill with Symbols" dialog.
  • I would be interested in getting a copy of the jungle drawing tool. I asked Linda about CC3 not having one and she said she was going to make one, but that was a month or two ago.
