Annual Deluxe battlemaps

I am trying to do a map in the above style. Why do my bitmaps look like this when the examples I open in the annual file look perfectly fine using the same bitmaps.

    I think I found the answer to my own question. For some reason this fixed it..

    View-Display Speed Settings-Fill Style Resolutions (Advanced)

    Then I put the Very High setting from 10 to 100. That gave me what is below. At least now I know what to fiddle with for the high res bitmaps.

    Cool! Something else that's worked for me in the past, which let me avoid changing any actual values is Display Speed Settings --> Fixed bitmap quality --> OK, and then go back in and switch back to Automatic bitmap quality --> OK.

    I'll add your method to my list of other possible fixes. This problem happens to me every now and then too.
