Ruin/Tomb designing.

Been trying for a few hours to figure out how to make a ruin/tomb like dungeon, Lots of it, I can use the geomorphs to map out the rooms and most walls, but then the geomorph book I'm following to build each area calls for cave-like walls mixed in with the normal walls. I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how to get that done right. The attached picture is examples of what I am talking about, taken from the Dungeon Builders Guidebook. Notice on them how the walls move from normal walls into the squiggly walls.

This can be done with drawing tools and the Edit function. You draw the regular room first, and then set up a new fractal drawing tool (if it doesn't exist already), which uses the same floor and wall textures as the room. Start the drawing tool and hit the "E" key to start editing an existing room. The fractal function will create the irregularly shaped wall.

This won't work with geomorphs though, as they don't create continguous floors and walls.
  • Not even exploded geomorphs? Mostly What I was doing was setting down the square, rectangular and circular normal rooms first using the geomorphs, making my way to a section that turned into cavern-like walls, then was hoping there'd be a way to add the irregular bits in. Or..if there was a way to say, take a page such as this..and make them into geomorphs themselves to use inside the program. I had gotten some info on doing that before, and am still looking into it, in the meanwhile, I'm just trying to build them in DD3 to get the hang of the program more as i attempt to build a dungeon.
