Accidentally deleted symbol color?
I may be referring to this by the wrong name (if anyone has a handy picture of the interface with all of the bits labeled you would be an angel) but I'm referring to the color options on the left. I somehow changed one of my colors, or deleted it? Which I didn't think I could even do? Anyway, now I can't get the color I need from that list, and I don't know how to change it back.
Please let me know if I need to elaborate, I'm mostly figuring this program out by clicking on random things and seeing what happens so I may not be describing things well.

Can you show us a screen shot of what you mean?
There is an interface diagram in the Campaign Cartographer 3+ User Manual on page 15.
AH thank you! It's one of the colors in the color bar.
I accidentally have two whites instead of the white and icy blue that used to be there, and I need that blue back.
You've edited the colour in the palette.
Try saving your map and then closing CC3+ and reopening it. The palette should be restored. If not, just shout.
I gave that a shot and no dice, I've tried closing and reopening a few times now.
It sounds like you've attached the modified palette to the drawing.
Which mapping style are you using? Some have specialised palettes, so it's not always a simple case of detaching the modified palette - plus you may have edited other colours that you would rather like to keep.
I haven't edited other colors - frankly I didn't know I could do that? So if a reset would fix it I can do that. I'm using Cities of Schley Color.
Thanks
Have you used the Save Custom PAL button in the palette dialog? (You can open this dialog by clicking the colour swatch in the Status Bar). If you have, then clicking the Use Defualt PAL button will undo the edit. (btw This example is from a map with a heavily edited palette, so it won't look anything like yours).
Yes, you can edit palettes, but a better way to save them is to use the Attach to Drawing button in the Drawing Properties dialog shown below
. The example I'm showing is from the same map as the palette above. As you can see it is a palette I have attached to the drawing. I can remove it and return to the default palette at any time, though that will cause all edits to vanish.
Okay so I did try resetting to default and it didn't change the white back to the icy blue I need. I tried to change what I thought was the right color in the custom palette (thank you for that!) but it didn't change the colors in the color bar. I'll keep putzing with it and I may be able to get something to work for me, though, so thank you so so much for all your help!
Ok. I was confused.
I've never bothered with the Colour Bar because it only shows the first two rows of the actual colour palette (which aren't editable by design because they also control the interface colours). I hid it in the first few days I ever used CC to make more space, and then I more or less forgot all about it and it's properties by way of never seeing or using it.
That white colour is the default, uneditable colour, as you can see from my map.
The full colour palette is accessed by clicking the colour swatch in the Status Bar. That will open the square dialog I showed above.
I'm not sure what actually happened for you.
Neither am I T0T but your help should get me to a fix moving forward, so thank you so much!
You're welcome, Sasha :)
