Stain Symbols for Maps

@Royal Scribe I think it was who was asking on today's PF livestream about stain symbols on maps, like the ring left by a coffee cup.
I couldn't find anything like this in the two more recent Annuals I mentioned in the livechat, the Sticky-Note Dungeon one, CA214, or the Investigations Props & Handouts one, CA73. However, there are some stain options, like inkblots and multiple circular features, in CA06, Parchment Backgrounds. You can see some in action on this map in my Gallery.
There may be more elsewhere too, but I suspect this Parchement Backgrounds style was what I'd thought of.

Modern Journeys has broken ring symbols used to frame icons, but they're probably too regular to look like a coffee stain ring.
Another approach would be to draw a coffee cup ring. (Sue would know the sheet effects better than I.) Basically, draw a circle with a brown color. Add a break (you can add more breaks later.) Under the Explode tool, do Line to Path. Then you can fractalize it, or maybe do some sort of displacement effect like the paths in Forest Trail. Maybe add some sort of Blend?
I think I have a potentially easier way to produce them as bitmaps. I've just spent a happy hour messing around with watercolour and a few mugs on my best smooth watercolour paper. (I never have time to do paintings, so why not).
Unfortunately, it will take several hours to dry, and then I will have to try and figure out how to use my scanner all over again.
Textures.com has some stain symbols. Didn't see coffee rings, but there are spatter symbols. I have seen coffee rings SOMEWHERE. I had a look through my own and my non-PF stuff and couldn't find any, but I'm sure they exist. I've had to move my CC3+ stuff three times over the past few years, so I may have saved it in some obtuse spot! Will keep looking...

I made these last night... (it was hilariously messy and I had a lot of fun)
I don't have a lot of time right now, but I could make a free set in the next few days if there's enough interest.

Yes, I couldn't recall, and when I went back to check the video, the chat was gone (as it usually is immediately after a livestream). Checking back now though, I see it was indeed Bill who asked, and unfortunately he's not on the Forum or Facebook, as far as I recall.
These are looking good, @Loopysue ; makings of another Annual, perhaps? [Yes, yes, I know, the CC4 Overland style is taking-up all your time still; we can dream 😁!]

There's not enough there for an annual, but I'll see what I can do about a free set along the lines of the tentacles and connecting hedges when I get to the next natural pause in CC4 Overland.
There's no reason to try and get hold of Bill just yet. It needs to be ready to be picked up, but we can tell him next live stream if he's there - that they are on the way.
I think you missed out the "yet" at the end of, "There's not enough there for an annual - YET!" Sue 😁!
These teasing hints about CC4 are killing me. I am so, so eager for it to be released -- or at least see demos of it.
Ah, well - I can't say when that might happen, but we're talking about CC4 Overland - an overland style to be packaged with CC4 the app.
