A Question about Alternate Map Styles

I'm putting together a personal variation on one of the Annual styles (CA48 - B&W Dungeons). I realized it would be great to have a "Simple" version for drawing "book maps" and one that uses more complex symbol catalogs for "battle maps". If I make two sets of Template/Image/Note files and both templates point to the same drawing tools and symbol catalogs, that shouldn't cause any problems, right?
I just don't want to blunder into any mistakes.

There is nothing that ties a symbol catalog or drawing tool set back to a specific template, so there is no problem sharing this across templates. Of course, when multiple templates rely on the same resources, changes to the tools or catalogs would also then be visible from all templates since it is a shared resource.
