@Royal Scribe Have you taken a look at the DD3 Creatures symbol options? There isn't a gargoyle, but there is a golem that might work as one. None of the options in that have bases, and most have varicolor options (though not all that work on the whole creature, to turn it to stone, say).
Thank you, that was a very useful suggestion for the ones with a full-body varicolor option. (I tried experimenting with Adjust Hue/Saturation, Colorize, and RGB Matrix Process, but those effects don't work on raster symbols.) I will also look through my other symbol sets for more creatures. Great suggestion!
I'm looking for a rope ladder. I found this one in Dundjinni Archives but it goes into a hatch of adobe bricks. Mine would be descending from a hole in a wooden floor. Anyone know of a rope ladder symbol, maybe from an annual I don't yet own (but could get)?
Sorry, I thought I was late to the party here and it was common knowledge, I found the links somewhere in these forums I think.
It's https://www.forgotten-adventures.net/ There are loads and loads of nice symbols, but my reading is much like Profantasy, only sharable on a map (or other derivative work), so I wouldn't think it's ok to share the symbols directly.
Ahh, thank you! That points me in the right direction. Since this is a map for the Atlas, I’m not sure it’s part of the allowed symbols. I’ll check. But I will look into them for non-Atlas maps.
The main reason for this is that they lack proper CC3+ integration and symbol catalogs, meaning that while they might be free, it is hard to use them in a consistent manner that will let other users use maps with these symbols in them.
I have Monsen's Mines, which has carts someone could push by hand, and 2023 Steampunk, which has steam engines and train cars that can attach to them, but nothing like above where one or two people would pump a lever to get the car to go along a track.
Does anyone know which annual might have a good symbol of Earth's moon (or a gray, arid planet that looks close enough like our moon)? I have Cosmographer and some of the cosmography-related annuals, but not all. I'm about ready to pick up another older annual so if there's one with a good moon, that might be the tie-breaking factor in deciding which one to get.
Thank you! I thought I owned that one but I don't -- I have a folder for it under Cosmographer symbols but it just has the logo. Must have been included with one of the other annuals. I will move that one to the top of my acquisition list.
If you have CA22, there's an option there to make your own dynamic-lighting planet in that, with instructions in the mapping guide to create a symbol from, say, a NASA image, saved as a suitable PNG. CA80 is a good option for a premade approximation though, as Ricko said.
It doesn't look like it, from reading the description of the offer, plus the bundle includes a lot of things I already have. But when the offer was emailed, it included a discount code for folks who want to buy something else instead, so I plan to take advantage of that opportunity.

The forgotten adventures packs have a couple of rope ladders symbols in 5 different wooden colors.
Hi Quig! What are the Forgotten Adventures packs? Is that a third party add-on?

In this case, I think I the ladder pack on the front page luckily enough, https://www.forgotten-adventures.net/product/map-making/assets/dungeon-decor-pack-39/ otherwise, one have to download the full collection (~11GB) and hunt around.
Perhaps it's ok to link the name of the files, if one has the collection already? Not sure what the policy is in this regard.

They're not approved for the atlas.

Anyone know of any Atlas-approved handcars -- something like this illustration from Wikipedia page, though of course I'm looking for top-down symbols:

Have you looked in Dundjinni archives or CSUAC?
I did, but I will check again in case I missed it.
Does anyone know of any toppled statues on their side for the ruins of an ancient temple? The statues I'm finding all seem to be properly upright.

Oh! I do have CA22. I will go read the mapping guide to see if that will work for me.
I remembered this because I used it a long while back (shown in the first post in that link) to make versions of Nibirum for the Community Atlas!
Are these or any others present in the current Humble Dumble?
