One of my first battle maps

I have created one of my first battle maps for my campaign with awesome software (thx profantasy for that)

Let me know what you think?

  • Looks very nice but I'd add edge fade or blur to soften the edges & give a more realistic transition. I like suggesting paths by the use of footprints.
Keep at it you are off to a great start.

Very cool! Like Sven, I'd increase the Edge Fade on the sand transitions to make the edge smoother, though I think it's fine for the water.

I'd avoid Blurs on sheets with bitmap fills, as they blur your whole nice bitmap texture into some blurry mess.
  • hey,

    Thx for the comments.
I have improved the map some and the extra edge fade did improve it, but it also made problems on the sides of the map where actually no edge fade should be.
I did not see a simple solution for this, so I have drawn the polygons outside the map borders to make look like they are continuing outside the map.
    Here is my result.
  • A lot better! Looks fantastic! Congratulations.
  • Very nice looking! Where's the drink lady & my beach blanket?
