Here is the first level of a small castle.
Let me know what your thoughts are.

Thanks,

And here is the rest of the levels that are yet to be really worked on.
  • Great design!

I like the choice of fill styles and symbols.

It's hard to see the details of the upper levels though.

    Lovely - well done.

While level 1 contained the main public throne room,
Level 2 contains more of the regular working levels.
The Kitchen, Stewards room, Keep Guards and Servants cafeteria are located here.
Thanks for the kind words, JdR that was just a overall look, I'll be posting each level as I get it done.
  • Very nice details.
I particularly like the plant in the steward's arrow-slit ;)

Just curious: how does the middle guard get to his bed in the towers?

And a little fluff to go with it...

For Sale - Historic Site. Move in Condition, Excellent Views!! Harnstel Castle. Picture yourself sipping your morning coffee gazing over your battlements as the mindless hordes crash like waves on the rocks of your own genuine castle. Harnstel Castle has been a fixture in the countryside for over 200 hundred years. Never taken by frontal assault, it is solidly built stone walled keep. The outer walls are a massive 12 feet thick and run 36 feet above the ground with the gate house and 4 towers commanding all approaches from a 50 height. The keep base walls are 10 feet thick, the 7 levels of the main keep rise an impressive 100 feet, giving a lord and his lady an imposing view of the all lands that come with the deed. The Castle is completely furnished, has a deep well water supply and is well provisioned. The steward, housekeeping and grounds staff are professional and affordable. The staff has been augmented with local militia members as the castles professional soldiers were temporally conscripted by the king to deal with the northern goblin incursion. The current owner is relocating and is motivated to sell.

    Wonderful!
  • Great castle map. Could you please write me, how you make the arrow slits.

    Steve

The arrow slits are the magic of CA46 and the arrow slit tool.
If you have that and JdR's chapel tutorial you are in business.

  • Really nice Ken.

So your saying this is the best castle in a bad neighborhood? A career in real estate may be in your future.

Super nit-picking minor thing: The cleaver in the kitchen is larger than the pillows! Of course, it might be a +2 battle cleaver or the cook could be an ogre iron chef!

    Thanks for sharing.
  • Biggest cleaver is best cleaver!

But seriously, these are really really nice maps.
