Force a river in FT3

Is there a way to force a river to happen along a particular route in FT3?

    FT3 doesn't have any direct way to draw a river, no.

    You can sometimes get it to work indirectly by making a selection for your intended river path and lowering the altitude along that channel. Due to the relatively low editing resolution of FT, however, you may not be able to control the terrain well enough to get the river flowing exactly where you want it.

    Yeah, I'm having some success by making a selection around the path of the river, then using profiled mound and subtract to make a valley before running find rivers.
