    I decided to redo my map of Myirandios, using Sue's Worldbuilder.
    So far, only the altitude is done. That is a bitmap. The text and symbols and rivers and grid are all added on top.
    I didn't like the boxy contours that went with the FT3 map, though I did use it for the rivers.
    The map looks a lot cleaner now, and I will enjoy diving back into my world.
    And with the FT3 export done, I can use any projection for later if I wish.

    For the Rivers, I redid them using the RIV Macro - this creates a fractalized river starting out broad and light at the coast, and becoming darker and thinner as it nears its source. Not so beautiful very close up, but rather nice ate the view of a mid-sized country I just made.

    Nice. I like the look of the mountains. At a world scale, darker colors look better as you get higher, at least until you have glaciers. In my more tactical settings, it is unsettling to me. Although lighter-higher makes Sue's head want to explode. So there you are. :|

    I think that is an important concept when mapping, make it good looking for the scale it is intended to be viewed at. It is impossible to get perfection at every zoom level anyway.

    Thanks, Remy - it looks good at this scale, and even zoomed in more.
    I am just pondering how to do biomes without buggering up the altitude.
