Is their anyway to change the color of a heraldry shield to dark grey?

For that matter, is their anyway to change anythings color like one could do in microsoft paint, with like a fill tool?

Thanks,

Are you referring to the CA15 symbols ? If you want a gray field, select the color first and use the varicolor shield (the last one). Varicolor symbols have usually a colored square upper right matching selected colors but this one hasn't. Changing the current color will change the appearence of the symbol though...

On the other hand grays, browns, flesh... were only sparsingly used on furniture but never on shields... It's your world though...

There is no fill bucket here. To fill a shape with a color you must set the fill style to solid and the line width to zero otherwise you'll fill the line. If you want a filled area with a thick line, use two copies of the same shape, one with line width zero and fill style solid, the other with a positive line width and a fill style solid too.
  • Ok thanks, that worked.

Also, is it possible to import ones own image, like say a raven's silhouette?
  • Of course.

Draw menu, Insert File. (fourth from up).
Insertable are PNG and BMP pics. You might have to use a image editor to save as PNG for transparent parts.

You can also design a symbol from a PNG. Symbols>Symbol Manager>Import PNGs.
