Resizing symbols in drawing tools

I am wondering, once you setup a fill along or fill area drawing tool, if there was a way to change the size of the symbol involved. For example, an escarpment drawing tool has a triangle symbol with a base of 10 units and 8 units spacing. Is there a way to proportionally change these with a dialogue before actually drawing? Or, is it better to setup a separate drawing tool for one that is, say, 5 units by 4 units for situations that may call for a smaller symbol?

These symbols placed by FOREST/SYMFILL/ESC all adhere to the default symbol scale. So you can just go to file -> Drawing Properties and change that before using the tool.

Or, instead of using a drawing tool at all, just use the relevant command directly, they all have a configuration dialog. Just load up the setting you want, then change the size as desired (Only applicable for ESC/SYMFILL) and run the tool. As long as you don't save the setting, you won't mess up for any drawing tools using that setting.

Or, if you frequently use a limited number of different sizes, save different settings for each of these sizes so you can load them directly, and optionally, as you suggest yourself, configure a drawing tool for each.
