whenever I use the deck tool I crash with "Cosmographer Deckplan Bitmap" after selecting it from "Decide settings myself", are there any workarounds or fixes?
Cosmographer Deckplan Bitmap -> 1000x800 -> Starfield_06 no grid-> Disable multiple levels. -> Finish. Left click on Deck plan. It mentions a mirrored polygon shape as the tool tip. clicking immediately crashes. Reinstalled update, still crashes. Reinstalled Cosmographer, Still crashes.
This map has both GRID and SNAP turned on (lower right buttons) but there is no GRID actually selected. Either selecting a GRID setting or turning both GRID and SNAP off should fix this.
I'm actually getting the same issue. I just bought and installed Cosmographer, and installed the latest CC3+ update.
I'm following the instructions to do my first starship deckplan (page 5 of the Cosmographer Essentials PDF), and when I get to the point of selecting the hull drawing tool and trying to draw, it crashed the moment I start drawing, just as the OP said.

What settings are you using in the wizard?
Also, when you say deck tool, you are then referring to the deck, default drawing tools? Or perhaps any of the deck drawing tools? or?
In any case, I would start by (re-)installing the latest update, that's always a good first troubleshooting step.
