    What I want to do is to link a web link, example below, to a symbol on a CC3 map, so when clicked, the web site shows up. In this instance, it is a specific Watabou city from their Medieval City Generator. I will use it in my world of Myirandios.
    Here is the link:

    http://fantasycities.watabou.ru/?size=15&seed=483707564&hub=1&random=0&citadel=0&plaza=0&temple=0&walls=0&shantytown=0&river=0&coast=0

    I have already tried it using Macro>Hotspot and typing in the address in the text line. Perhaps not surprisingly, it didn't work. Any of you super-clever boffins have some ideas? It would be great if CC3 could do this, ie enable links to specific web pages - city maps, dungeon maps, kingdom details all generated using various generators - and there are some beauties. It would save me time in populating my world, and I can then come back later and turn the files into proper CC3 maps.

    Try using the SHOWURL command in the macro for your hotspot. It will open the specified URL in a browser window.

    You mean I have to write a macro. OMG kill me now. I am an absolute ninny when it comes to clever stuff like that - care to hold my hand!

    All hotspots are macros.

    All you need is the following:
    SHOWURL http://www.profantasy.com;

    You can see I am using this for all atlas maps to link to the atlas site.

    Works perfectly - though i have to press enter when i click on the hotspot, but that's no problem. this will dramtically make a difference to my mapping. Thank you, thank you.
