    Things like fires in a lookout, broadcasting the presence of someone living there. No way to handle flying attackers.

    No defenses in entrance tunnels. Or the defenses are weak.

    No defenses if something comes out of the water supply.

    And yes as you mention, no secret tunnels to escape attacks.

    The rest areas are signs of inability to quickly respond due to lack of exercise and complacency on the part of the defenders.

    Another one. There could be something useful in killing attackers back there in that chest. Unfortunately, the dwarves couldn't remember how to get the portcullis to open. It appears to be embedded in the 7' wide passageway walls.

    For my next trick, I will be working on an overall layout of this level and turn that into maps; or I'll just make another map. Still deciding.

    I just updated my Win 10 computer, did backups first. Everything seems fine. Also working on finding a project tracker/management software I can place on a sub-domain. Already tried WebCollab, but I'm the only one who can see the projects, progress, etc.

    Anyway, I'll still be mapping, while I try several more available via my doman's cpanel.

    Well, I found a big mistake on the side view sketch. Here is the corrected version.

    I'm working on a 'sort of' overhead map to help me plan.

    Second png is how I did it for my Dwarf Home on Crestar.

    Here is the overhead sketch map. If I lined up all of them, they would be covered up. So I indented the different levels so they could be seen better.

    This is more a speculative guide, rather than an exact look of the lavels. I did try to match up the left and right ends as close as I could to 'match' the side view.

    Also means there could be side maps on some levels.

    Well, on previous maps I go a bit lost on what connected where, which is why I labelled them to show what went where.

    This time I decided to do it differently. I have out this up on my tracking site. It shows the placement of each level... these are the top down views fairly closely lined up.

    A damp, a dry, and a useful cistern. The front edge is about center of the lookout level.

    Some updates on Level 01. The third map on this level will have a way to get down to the ground level. I added a spiral stair to part 1 of this level.

    Secret door from the water team barracks room to the spiral stairs. Then a regular door.

    Some are secret doors, some are not. After I get the third map for this level done, I'll look at the overall level and see which ones need doors.

    Ground level, part 1. More broken and missing floor tiles the dwarves haven't found replacements for.

    An escape tunnel partially done in the lower, east, part of the map. The 20' wide corridor used to behind a secret door. The mechanisms became so worn, the dwarves took the doors down. Sadly, it made these floors more vulnerable.

    The marble tile room is a former guard room. Boredom lead to its downfall. The denses are gone.

    No doors yet, and the stair cases up and down are on Part 2 of this map.

    It's quite unusual to have north on the right instead of at the top. Any particular reason for this?

    The back of the mountain is north. The Lookout is on the south end.

    Side view would be nice, give a better overview of all of these halls.
    Perhaps pretty it a bit up though? Fill the mountain with an appropriate stone fill, blue sky behind, perhaps even a bit of vegetation outside, that sort of thing.

    Secret doors ? Well, they aren't exactly secret. A stranger seeing a worn footpath up to a blank wall, must be a secret there.

    Map 4 of the ground level. No doors yet, but some passageway openings.

    Next maps will be the dungeon levels.

    My home players are incredibly safety minded. Doesn't mean they don't make mistakes though. For something like this, not sure what they would do, but clean out the upper levels then go for the cave last, is my guess.
