Inputting a scanned map

I was wondering if it’s possible to input a scanned map or maps to modify and or combine. I want to take my verious Darksun maps and combine them into one to use with Realm Works for setting up my campaign is this possible and what version(s) would I need to do it?

You can always import one or more scanned images into CC3+ easily enough, you don't need anything but basic CC3+ (or CC3) to do this. Just use Draw -> Insert File

Do note that you cannot edit a scanned map, the most common usage of this is to import it as a background image, and then trace over it using CC3+'s drawing tools to create a CC3+ representation of the map.

You can import bitmaps as backgrounds and work over the top of them, or as guides that can be later deleted. You can also import a png with a transparent background and trace the outline of the opaque part.

About the only thing you can't do is edit a bitmap within CC3, which is a vector app and does not have any tools for bitmap editing.

I use GIMP to edit bitmaps before importing them into CC3.

So if I get this right I would input the maps a-line them how I want than trace them to make a C3 version? Would I have to do one at a time or could I input serval maps laying one on top of each other’s than trace the whole thing. I can get the maps in pdf but there are something like 4 or 5 different ones each haveing sections that overlapping

You can throw as many as you want into CC3+ at once. Aligning in CC3+ is free, so you can align and overlap them as you wish. Note that you must have your map in an image format, you can't insert a .pdf

I’m assuming you adjust each image size as you want. I’m not sure all the maps are done to the same scale

Yea, each image you import is it's own entity, and can be manipulated independently of any others, it can be scaled and rotated as desired.
