Since late summer I have been unable to install the 3.88 update. I install Update 19 and the version number still remains at 3.84. I tried shutting down virus protection and firewalls and did not resolve it.
In addition I am unable to install the November and December Annual. The install runs to the point where it will install files and then just abruptly shut down.
Sounds weird. For issues such as these, my first guess would be that there is something wrong with your Windows install, perhaps a corrupt installer cache (or hardware issues, but less likely). I don't have any spesific pointers for you though, except perhaps do a full uninstall and then reinstall if CC3+.
