    I exported a portion of a world map to work from and it keeps crashing.
    I understand if I do the "remove nodes" command, it will help. Is there another way to do this without getting rid of the coastline detail?

    SIMPLIFY is better than Remove Nodes [REDN] beacuse it uses an algorithm to remove nodes rather than just drop half of them which generally won't impact the visual look as much.

    Apart from that, not really. If things gets too complex, the only way to deal with it is to remove complexity. (Of course, this assume the problem is caused by too much detail in the first place)

    Thanks, Monsen. I looked for the Simplify command, but can't find it, either in help or the tome.
    Any other ideas on why it's crashing a lot?

    SIMPLIFY is a command you type in on your keyboard, which should appear on the command line at the bottom of your screen.
