Is the Tome of Ultimate Mapping out of date?
I am trying to get better resolution for an Earth map, so looking through the Tome of Ultimate Mapping, on pg 669 it says you can:
"download the even higher resolution data set ETOPO1, available from the National Geophysical Data Centers web site at http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/global/global.html."
It goes on to say:
"If you look at the file names, one of the ends with f4, while the other ends with i2."
However, there are only an option to download a tiff file and these:
ETOPO1_Ice_c_gdal.grd.gz 2011-03-22 20:50 378M
ETOPO1_Ice_c_gmt4.grd.gz 2013-01-02 17:59 378M
