Since ProFantasy is running a sale and I am unsure of what I want to buy, I thought I would ask the users here what there favorite annual volumes and addons are for CC3+

I make many different types of maps. The ones I do most, not including planets which is what I use FT3 for, are dungeons and overland.

Just to let you know what I have:
The Top Three (CC3+, CD3, DD3) and Character Artist 3
    Symbol Set 1
    Source Maps: Castles
    Tome of Ultimate Mapping
Cartographers Annuals Volumes 5-7 (can anyone tell me what these three have in common ;) )

    I am considering FT3, Annual Volumes 2,3,4,8,10
I will only be able to purchase one or two off that list. I am leaning towards Annuals Volume 3 and 10 and FT3.
I am curious about the new house and street setting that City Streets (Volume 10) adds.

It would be much easier I just got them all, but my wife would veto that.

What do you like in 1 and 10 Quentin and what can you tell me about the City Streets Style?

Annual 1: I love the mercator style maps (used in the Nibirum world map alternative), Sarah Wroot multicoloured mountains (used in Dungroth), the great tutorials on Inns (used in Drunken Bear Inn) and Cathedrals (used in Spiros Island Monastery), the dungeon tutorial on indicating depth - with a vertical diagram as well, the John Speed city style, the City style (which I have used in my city of Stromphe) - all references to maps by me in the Community Atlas.
Annual 10: Here be monsters - especially for all the sea monsters used to decorating maps (used by me in Tartessos), Empire of the Sun (Japanese art like), Dungeon World (used in Helinesa Underworld), Temple of Bones - used in a number of JimP's maps of dungeons), 1800's floorplans ( I have an example of mine, but not in Atlas), Naom's Floorplans (used in Poncegraf Manor), Horror House (Souza Inn), Dark Realms (The Bleakness), Scorching Sun (used by Loelei in Shiting Sands). Apart from where mentioned, the rest are mine in the Community Atlas.
Below are examples of 1800's Hose Style and John Speed maps made by me.
So you can see I really love these annuals best. Sadly you made me pick only 2. You need to get your wife on side! :)

    Any thoughts on FT3 anyone?

    IMHO FT3 is brilliant :)

A lot of people don't understand straight away that you can't expect the 3D shading to appear in CC3+ on exported maps. This is because CC3+ is a 2D app and has no 3D shading feature other than on city symbols (and that works in a completely different way to the FT3 shading).

Once you get over the disappointment of not getting the 3D shading in your CC3+ export it's an excellent purchase.

You can have a play with the trial version available here if you still aren't sure:

    https://secure.profantasy.com/library/demo.asp

The resolution is a lot lower than the full version, but its enough to get some idea.

Right now I am leaning towards annuals 3 and 10. 3 has the ships and 10 has the city streets.
  1.
I really like SS4. I generally use it for all of my dungeon maps (combined with DD). Don't have any of the annuals yet so no comparison there.

Thank you for the comments. I appreciate all the feedback. I am not so much into dungeon maps at this time. Working on overland and city maps. Work is focused on material for my books. Items to be included in them or for my personnel reference as I write. I am interested to hear what your favorites are, regardless of type, and why. The input will be useful to others considering a purchase and not just myself.

You are probably right, Sue. It was hard narrowing it down to two. So hard I had to get three.
