Grainy maps????

I just d/l'd the new Mapping Guide: CC3 Overland BW and while making a map following it directions I noticed that the graphics in the guide were tens times as nice looking as those in my CC3 map. Is there a setting I missed or something I'm doing wrong? I'm following the instructions to the letter and just don't understand why the pdf looks better than my map.

Any enlightenment would be awesome sauce.

    Look for a thread about the same thing. Big long discussion. I don't see it after a quick search, but Highland Piper was having the same problem.

    No, this can't have anything to do with the thread you mention, Jim. The problem there had to do with bitmaps, this new style is a pure vector style.

    Have you turned on the sheet effects, Liet? That will do a lot to improve the look of the map. If that's not it, I'm unsure what the problem is. Perhaps you could post an export or screenshot of the problematic image?
