Is it possible to output the data from fractal terrains in a way so it can be put in some kind of database? I mean that it outputs real numbers (longtitude, latitude, atitude, rainfall, etc.).

There is no way to do that directly from FT as far as I know. You'd have to generate the image files and then use some sort of external program to convert the values.

If you don't mind my being nosy, what would you do with such a feature if it existed?

well, i need a map for a game. And the game needs to know what is on the map. Do you know such a program that can convert images to numbers?

isn't it possible to write a script for it? I have read something about scripts in the manual, but i only saw a safe function for BMP...

since no one seem to have an answer, will this option be available in a next update, or not? So I know if I should wait for it or just search for an other solution.

http://www.ridgenet.net/~jslayton/FunWithWilburVol2/index.html has a way to put mountains anywhere on a map, exactly where you want them.
