What if I miss one of the updates?

I've been using CC3+ for over 2 years, and I've religiously downloaded and installed all the updates - except for one.
Due to being a little distracted by trying to work with a machine that's been virtually wrecked by Win 10, I took my eye off the ball for a couple of weeks, and I see now that I missed the opportunity to download and install update 16.
I have installed update 17, on top of update 15.
Everything seems to be working fine (when my machine isn't crashing for other unrelated reasons), but is this likely to cause a problem further down the line?

I can rest easy now that I know I'm not crashing because I missed update 16.
