    Hey all,

Please refresh memory on HOW to do this:

    I choose a symbol in this case, CA15 Star 5 rays a01

and I want to separate the elements in the symbol (circular field and 5 pointed star) so I can color them as I choose. My fading faculties are refusing to give me the process. I know I read it on these forums somewhere (by Ralf, I think).

Can anyone lend me a new brain for the answer?

    thanks
    Cal

Place the symbol, and then use use EXPLODE on the symbol, that will turn it into it's individual parts. (Only works on vector symbols obviously, as most raster symbols are just a single image that can't be reduced further)

Does that mean you can combine bitmaps into one symbol?

I can't think of what use to put that to just yet. I'm just curious :)

Yes, a symbol can consist of many image entities.

    Thanks Remy :)

I'm sure that will come in handy one day. I've just got a feeling it will ;)
