Strange breaks in latitude/longitude lines

How can I fix this phenomenon? The lines are broken even when the black lines underneath are hidden. I've tried playing around with various settings, but nothing seems to work.

In the Grid Settings dialog, uncheck the "Adaptive Grid Resolution" checkbox and move the "Subdivision slider" over to 32.
