My next contribution to the Community Atlas. Mate Ora from the same main map as my previous two contributions. For this one I wanted to try a completely new style, and as it is supposed to be a shunned island haunted by the undead I thought the Dark Realms might be a good choice. Its early days yet, and I'm not totally sure where I'm going with it. This is just my interpretation of the original with little new stuff added yet....

A little more done. I agonized over the tree symbols as they are sort of odd in the Dark Realms style package, but I came up with a little trick that made the jungles look pretty good. It's creeping along....

Scott, this is looking amazing! Great job on this
  1.
Awesome! I especially love the incorporation of the skull within the text.

Think I got a handle on where I'm going with this one now.

The text shadow, the border and Navigation Lines really polish this off - great work!

Thanks! Not done yet, though. More text to put in, at least.

Think I'm pretty much done with this one. Decided to add a symbol key this time instead of cluttering the map with text.

    Oh that's really pretty, Scott!

You have the eye of an artist :)

Thanks. I was actually an art major through school but didn't pursue it. I ended up going into the food industry and was an Executive Chef for many, many... many years! But that's artistic, as well, I suppose.

Scott this is an absolutely beautiful map, and I love the border. What fill is that? Is it one that you made?

Thanks. Nope, not one of mine -- the border is just the HW ice fill with the Lightness at -75% on the Adjust Hue/Saturation effect!
  3.
I thought it might be HW... of course I was thinking it might be his volcanic rock fill... but hey! Great improvisation!

It was a bit of a fluke, really. I never use the Adjust Hue effect but just started playing around with it one day. I'll be using it in my regular effects toolbox now! lol
