My Map Symbols Have Gone Screwy

Hi there.
As the topic says, my map symbols have gone screwy (I'm pretty sure that's a technical term ;o) ).
The symbols all look like basic symbols, not the nice fancy looking ones that I was used to with DD3.
I can get the CC3 ones alright but CD3 and DD3 symbols look like the basic ones. I don't even know what I did!!
Short of uninstalling and reinstalling the software I have no idea what to do.
Any suggestions?

try right clicking symbol style toggle button. DD3 should be the first chice on the drop down. click on that and the select catalog setting pop up appears pick any of them as long as they say DD3 and your symbols should now be DD3 style. If that doesnt work try running the update. It fixs a lot of things

It definitely sounds like you're trying to load symbols from a different style. What happens if you start a new map based on a DD3 template? Does it let you see the correct DD3 bitmap symbols?

Thanks for your comments, I went the uninstall/reinstall route and that worked but I have another problem now. I get an error message when I try to go from one thing to another.
Does anyone know where I can download the patches?
