What Happened to My Map?

I started working on a world map yesterday in CC3. Only got a couple of islands done, before saving and closing the program. When I opened the program today, this is what i found (see attachment please).

What happened to the bitmap I inserted in the template?

When I did List of the objects, this is what was shown:

Do I have to reinsert the bitmap and will I have to do this every time? I am NOT amused if this is so.

Thanks!

Did you move the bitmap and/or map around?

This reference: FileName: $World_Map_01.bmp tells me that it looks for a file called World_Map_01.bmp in the same directory as your map file (This is what the $-sign means). If this is not the case, you need to move one of the files, OR remove the reference, and then insert the image using an absolute path, which allows you to move the map as you please (But not the image file)

Heh, sometimes I get easily frustrated by little things.

By doing a mapping marathon recently, things are progressing nicely on my world map. Once I get that finished, I'll go back to converting my town and city maps from CD Pro to CD3. I'll switch between doing that and making more detailed regional and overview maps as well.

It's interesting to note that using CC3 and CD3 seems much easier than CC2 and CD.

*Just realizes needs to take care of the various dungeon and floorplan maps as well.*
  • Yeah, we haven't gotten many of the "it's too hard to use" comments for a while. Good job Simon & Co.!
