Blending Inner Sea Contours

I have a few inner seas on my map but the Glow I have around my coast cant be reproduced there, no matter what sheet I use there is no effect. I tried placing an inner contour of darker fill in each sea but cant blend that either. Help?

if you could post the .fcw file or at the very least a png of the offending seas, it would help in the helping

If these are drawn as lakes, they would be on the RIVERS sheet, and won't be affected by your regular coastline effects. You should be able to create an effect similar to the outer glow on the coastline by adding an inner glow to the RIVERS sheet (or wherever your inland seas are)

To get the text out of the fog just move the text sheet so that it's above the sheet with the fog on it. As for contours and effects in lakes, I've found the easiest way is to put lakes and inland seas on their own sheets, and then add whatever effects I want.

Oce drawn, how do you move them to their own sheet? Also, I've tried to move text above the polies,like 10 times!

Moved to a new sheet, tried effects ....nothing. IF I just erase and draw them again, whats the best way? Evidently I did something wrong using the landmass tool and changing the fill.

Got it. Erased and redrew with coastline tool.... dumped into new Sheet and implemented new effects, moved to Front and whala! Thanks guys

On the Text thing, I bring ti to front but it drops back into the haze immediately, I have Text moved to the very top of the sheets under Common. Help?

Ok, the text was an issue caused by moving the map from a previous version. I erased and rewrote it's fine but I notice glow looks like shit on black letters. Guess you have to have mutiple text sheets if you want some with glow, some not.

Remember that the list of sheets represents the drawing order. The sheets at the top of the list are drawn first, then the sheet below it are drawn, covering up what's been drawn so far and so on. Moving a sheet to the top of the list ensures that it will appear below everything else in the drawing.
Also, make sure that the text is actually on the text sheet as well, if it isn't, moving the sheet won't do anything. Use the List command to identify what sheet it is on.

The bottom of the sheet list is actually the top. Common should be your very first sheet on the list. If you want text over the haze, it should be at the end of the sheets list like so
