burial mound map

this needs something around the outside of the "mound" to give it some depth or something, I am just not sure what, and how to do it.

suggestions? perhaps a color fill change?

You might consider adding an edge fade, inner, to meld the ground & mound, then you might consider adding an inner glow, a bit darker than the mound, to give the mound a bit of height... If you can add another inner glow, but have its origin from the center, just a little brighter than the mound, that will increase the "peak" height as well...

Other than that - very cool!

i would try a lighted bevel....you can get this kind of look with playing around with it...
