I have run up against an issue with the caves in CA97. When I draw the corridors and rooms with 10' grid fill, the hatching works nicely. It goes under.. When I try to draw a cave the same way, the hatching shows thru the floor. Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong? Can I get a little step by step on drawing a cave with a 10' grid fill and have the hatching hidden under the cave floor?

I would draw a regular square grid over the cave. Then explode it and trim the lines back to the cave edge.

Shessar's tip of the day: When using trim, when it asks to select the entity to trim, click on a part of the line that you want to keep, not the part you want to get rid of.

Any ideas on how to make the hatching edges less smooth? give it a more rough, hand drawn look?

For the hatching, I might use the fractal version of the draw tool rather than the smooth one. Then adding an edge fade inner sheet effect to it might give you a more natural result. Worth a try anyway.
