Stairs for B2 Keep On the borderlands Help

I'm trying to remake the Guild House from B2 Keep On The Borderlands and some of the stairs I can't find a symbol for or figure out how to make oone.
The stairs are "non-standard". The 2nd floor has a slight "L" curved one and the 1st one that is sort of spiral and straight. No stair symboils I can find are close to them.

Any ideas on how to dublicate the stairs or make stairs if they are non-standard?

I remember seeing a tutorial on making stairs, but can't find it.

I'm not sure what the stairs you are referencing look like, but I created a few transparent stair overlays that can be used to create a variety of stair layouts. You can find the examples and a zip HERE

Well, you could do that with sheets & shapes, or, a symbol could be made... Which would you rather? I could probably make up a symbol for you, but I need to see the map style you are creating.

EDIT: As an aside, where's the toilet facilities?

Gygax never put in toilet facilities Most of the old D&D & AD&D mas seem to be missing them and other things that you would expect certain buildings to have.

I honestly don't like how the stairs and stuff are arranged. It is supposed to be a more exclusive living quarter.

I'm just using the standard DD3 symbols. Stairs are going to wooden. If you can do a symbol that would be great.

I'll be happy to - Jay_NOLA stated he was using the default DD3 symbol set, and the stairs there have arrows... No problem without one. My main concern was that this fit in and wasn't too photoreal...

Scale = 100 in case that wasn't obvious...

Also, I lightened the stairs up without the arrow so it looked more like "up" stairs and not "down" stairs...

These look really good. I'm not a fan of "photoreal" stuff myself (they tend to be jarring and look even less real to me than illustrations) and these walk on [what I believe to be] the right side of that line nicely. :-D

I think the shadows along each step provide a nice visual cue as to which way the stairs go.
