Hi everyone,
I just thought I would share a map I made for practice. It is an unnamed perspectives herwin weilink dungeon that I didn't add a compass or labels of any kind to because I was just going to upload it to a website where someone wished to re-purpose the map for their homemade dungeons and dragons game.
But last night I saw a map that inspired me to start to practice my freehand drawings again. So I pulled out my tablet and drew up a house icon and a treestump icon. After looking at the treestump Icon I am not really thrilled with it and next time I would make the roots a little more distinct but for a first try I suppose it works.

I think its terrific that you're having a go at doing your own symbols, and I strongly urge you not to give up. I went through all kinds of ghastly mistakes before I finally got my trees together, and I am also working on a set of house symbols, and another of mountain symbols myself. The more variety the better
That's a really good house. You can make it shade like the CD3 symbols by making a map file. The instructions on how to do it are contained in the TOME, and its really not that difficult.
