How Does One Align Objects?

Yeah, pretty much what the subject line asks. The answer to this is probably staring me in the face, but how can one align objects, such as aligning to top, bottom, left, right, or center?

Actually, CC3 doesn't have the alignment commands you find in many other types of programs.

In most cases, using grid snaps, and the modifiers (endpoint, midpoint, on), etc, will help you place points and objects. Ortho is also a great help when placing many objects on a row. Note that all these functions works with regards to the origo placement of the symbol, which may vary (some symbols have this in the center, symbols that are intended to be placed next to a wall or other symbol usually have it at the wall-facing edge of the symbol)
  • Thanks, Monsen. I knew it would be something simple like that. CC3 requires a shift in thinking. I still find myself at times thinking like other software.
