As I stated elsewhere, I'm going to run the "Curse of Strahd" Adventure with my group. I already did try to map Ulrich Mansion. In this thread, I'll try to post the maps along the way of the adventure. Today, I'll start with the Church in Barovia (including graveyard and cellar). Made with Photoshop CS6 using some symbols and/or textures from ProFantasy products.

Nice. Some genuinely eerie coloring you achieved there.

Thank's Dogtag. The Group is usually active at night (2x Drow, 1x Tiefling), and in Barovia the sun rarely shines. So I tried to simulate nighttime in this map.

Here's a closer view of the church and basement.

Here's the Old Svalich Road, for some random encounters.
I decided to go for a more swampy style, which I think is suited best for setting a foggy zombie-slogging mood.

Made with Photoshop CS6 using some symbols and/or textures from ProFantasy products. I really like the Herwin Wielink Textures.

My take on the Coffin Maker's Shop (located in the town of Vallaki).
Bought the Dungeons of Schley style and wanted to try it out.

Done in Photoshop CS6 (due to problems with DD3+ I ran into described here) with textures of the Dungeons of Schley Art Pack and some Icons from other ProFantasy products.

Looks fantastic! My only question is, how does one get to the attic?

I love the work you're doing on these maps. They look so good. Your players are truly spoiled!

    Cheers,

Thanks, Dogtag. The Attic can be entered through a trap door (it can be seen in the Attic top left room in the top right corner). I didn't include a visual cue on the upper floor map, but it's part of the read-aloud text in the adventure book, so the players shouldn't miss it.

Ah. That was my initial guess but when I didn't see a ladder on the upper floor, I thought the trap door might be a table instead. Honestly, I should've known better because of the lack of any shadow!

Out of curiosity, since you seem to be cranking these out, about how long does it take you to make one of these maps? Roughly?

    Cheers,
    ~Dogtag

I'd guess about 4 to 6 hours for a map like this, also depending on how many symbols I have/want to create myself, etc.

I adore the juxtaposition of the complimentary blue/purple, orange/yellow colours and textures in the night scenes. They're lovely - a magnet for people who are hyper-sensitive to light and colour (like me).

More great maps. And, while I don't normally like "photorealistic" game maps, I really like the textures you used for the cellar map.

As usual, your color choices help to really sell the horror feel of the adventure.

    Cheers,
    ~Dogtag

    Thanks guys.

The cellar earth and floor textures are from the SS2A, I think.

Are your maps downloadable? Because I'm not going to lie......THEY ARE AWESOME!!!
  11.
    Thanks, I appreciate that.

I guess you can download them from here by right-clicking and chosing "save picture" (or what the menu item is called when having English preset in your browser) ... I did size them down for upload, though.

Didn't have much time the last weeks, but I hope I can start mapping again soon.

These are great, as always! I love the winch to the wine cellar. Did you find that somewhere or did you make it yourself in PS?

    These maps are a delight!

Thanks guys, I very much appreciate your commends.

The winch/crane I did myself. I once made a map of a mine (see below) where I needed a winch for pulling the trolleys up a slope. I still had the .psd-file, so I just used it and slapped on two of the Boards to simulate the boom.
