Question About Image Scale

I recently purchased CC3+ and I am really enjoying it so far. I have watched the youtube videos and done some searching but can't seem to find the answer.
I am creating an overland map with the size of a continent about the size of North America which of course is bigger than the default map. My problem is when I want to add some mountains to the map but the size of the images are just huge relative to the scale of the map. Is there a way to make the mountain symbols smaller? Because right now even the smallest hills are the size of Kansas!
