fcw 32 has stopped working and the program needs to close

Hello,

I was wondering if someone can help me with a little problem I seem to be having. When I try to start up cc3 I get an error message that says "fcw32.exe has stopped working, windows is checking for a solution.."

after about 30 seconds I get this next message. it says "fcw32.exe has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Then a button appears to close the program

No matter what I do I cannot get it to even open.

Anyone know what's going on?

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing?

But first try running the installation program again and picking the option "Repair."

Also note it might be that the map CC3 try to open at startup is corrupt, and causes the crash. Instead of opening the program via the Icon, try to double-click on a known good map file instead, such as one of the example maps.

addition to Monsen's note. If the file is corrupt, try loading another map using Explorer, using fcw as the loading program. it will load the other map and the corrupt one will no longer be the opening file for the program.
