Help - inland seas?

Can anyone help - tutorials, etc. - on how I might create an island, with an inland sea, and a smaller island (or two) in the inset sea?

My first idea was to try 'subracting' the inland sea from the larger island, but I can figure out how to do that?

TIA - CH

You could use the multipoly command, but I never really got the hang of it.

Another option is to dudplicate the relevant sheets (would be land and sea). Ralf explained recently how to do it for drawing caves in DD3, which might help you.

I have inland seas, its easy as I use sheets. No subtracting nor contortions of the polygon.

Draw land poly on the land sheet for the continent

Draw any polys for land contours on the land contour sheet

Use the land features sheet for the inland sea.

    Which displays as

    inland sea
    land contour
    land

edit: an example would be on here:
scroll down to the bottom rows of the map. Rows N through P

    World all 2
  • Ah, I didn't use Contours (land) sheet, I used mountain symbols instead. But the basic method is the same as I list above.
