Black line around overlays in FT3

In FT3, quite often I get a black outline around the area of overlaid images, often only on one or two sides, as show in the picture below. There's no black line in any of the original images, and the lines often disappear and reappear at different scales. I usually use PNG images with a transparent background. Any suggestions how I can get rid of them?

By the way in the example above, the islands and the light blue sea are a PNG overlay image, surrounded by transparency. (I want a few remote islands to be specific shapes, and it's too fiddly to create them manually in FT.)
I create worlds in FT3, then export the CC3 file and edit it in CC3.
