I discovered how to fix Link With CR2 Encounter if you are using CC2, CC3, or CC3+ and it isn't working right for your version of Windows.
The problem is that CR2 requires to be run as an Admin using XP Service Pack 2 comparability and that the version of CC you are using also needs to be run as an Admin in order for it to access the CR2 program since CR2 stores info in the Program Folder. You also can only have one CC program running at anyone time. (The CM included with CR2 is considered a CC program.)
1.) Run CR2 as an Admin in XP Service Pack 2 comparability mode. (You must run CR2 first before you run the version of CC you want to use.)
2.) Run the CC2, CC3, or CC3+ as an Admin.
3.) Link With CR 2 Encounter ought to be working now. If it isn't and you are getting a pop up box with an error at the top. Exit CR2 and the version of CC you are using and repeat steps 1 & 2. Sometimes you may need to exit and repeat 1& 2 once and other times it may be more for some reason.
Also, note that the CM that is included with CR2 needs to be launched from within CR2, or run as an Admin if you chose to not launch it from CR2 for the same reason.
