I had once a link to a great website that showed you how to place your own custom maps into Google Maps. It was so well done that you could have gone from a world view right down to street level if you had the images required. However I can no longer find this link. Since I first found that link there has been an explosion of Google Map sites and I can not find what I need.
I'd like this discussion to be for us as a community to help each other learn how to place our maps into Google Maps (at varying levels of difficulty) and how to get them on our/a web pages.
I suppose the first place to start would be would be Google Code.
There are also websites that offer free and simple ways of doing this as well. Personally I'm looking at doing the full Google Maps from global view right down to street level with tags and marks.
