Changing the Text in the Scale of Miles

in Mapping with ProFantasy's Software
I use the Edit ==> Text ==> edit text command, select the Scale in Miles, it turns the text white (so I assume I have selected it successfully), right click, "Do It" and nothing happens.... What am I doing wrong? I am on the Map Border layer, but I have tried it on the text, symbol front, symbol back, symbol layers.

    The text of this is part of the symbol, and you need to edit the symbol's content, to change the colour. Also, Edit > Text is for editing the text content, not the colour. Do the following:

    - Go to Symbols > Symbol Manager
    - Select the scale bar symbol and click "Edit" button.
    - In the editing window, use "Change Properties" or "Change Color" on the text and set it to white.
