Walling of your cave

OK, so this one is really simple, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it.
The blob is supposed to be a cave, so I'm trying to wall it off so it actually looks like a cavern and not just a spraypainted dirtpile. Everything I can find online about it says that I need to copy the floor to sheets, select walls, and then select my fill style, but I can't get anything like that to work.
