This battle map will be for Mage Knight Dungeons. Just playing it above ground.

Please give me some suggestions before I print it out and upload it to my website.

The scenario is team 'A' has prisoners in the houses. I will make roofs that will be cut out and mounted on mat board and placed over the buildings to hide any counters.

Team 'B' must rescue as many as possible and leave the map with them.

    Thanks

I'd add some shadows to things, but the actual map design and layout looks good.

    Shadows, will do! Thanks.

I'm still not sure the tracks look good enough.

The tracks are fine I think, only the turning circle around the tree might be a bit tight. :)

I'dd also add a "Wall Shadow, Directional" to the tree and possibly to either the WALLS or FLOORS sheet.

    Ok will do.

I can't wait for CD3 to come out! Hopefully there will be alot of 'Roof Fills' available. Normally for battle maps I use 3D paper terrain but I kind of like the idea of printing each floor and roof out and mounting it on mat board then just sticking them on the map. Makes transporting them alot easier.

    New problem. Printing.

Saving it to PDF (I have CS2 so I have original Adobe) or actually printing it to pdf. I took 65 minutes. The map should be 19.5"x34.5". In the Paper Distance I put 1.5 and in Drawing Distance I put 5. I wanted it Horiz 3 and Vert 5 allowing room around the edges of each sheet. What I got after 65 min was 15 pages of just the center verticle of the map scaled up to each square being like 7 inches or something like that.

Duh! Never mind. For some reason it did not switch the 1.5" into 0.125000 All is good now.

Ok it will print to pdf with the effects off. But it locks up every time I try to print it with the effects on. Frustrating. So I made multiple png files and hashed it together in photoshop.

It crashes if I try to take a png of the entire map. My computer is pretty fast so I am assuming that its CC3??

Anywasy you can find the pdf HERE at Dungeon Crawlers titled: The Elbion tales - The raided village and some of the discussion about it on the Dungeon Crawler forums if your interested

Is there something about the effects? I finally got it to save a large scale png 2925x5175 pixels with the effects off, but when I try it with the effects on it never gets past the first out of six passes.

If you have any tips for me let me know!

    Thanks.

Depending on the speed of your system, you may just be impatient. It takes the software a good 5-10 minutes to render a 4K x 4K PNG on my pretty-damn-pimped-out machine. Start it saving, then go away. Go to bed, leave for school, whatever. See if it's done when you get back...

Also, the screen tends to lock up when exporting bitmaps, i.e. it won't refresh anymore (at least on my system). CC3's still working in the background when that happens.

Effects make the export take much longer too, so this is more likely to happen.
