Switzerland maps from 1938 (and soon from 1838)
OK, they are not fantasy maps and not really "home made" but I think those maps are oft very inspiring and almost always wonderful. If someone is looking for some inspiration resources (as far as landscape goes) I think this site could be interesting:

The swiss federal office of topography celebrates its 175 year and puts online every map, for free. Ok, the interface could be better but I already lost some time wandering and looking at the landscape changes.
