Boolean Commands

Hi. Is there a simple way to take one rectangle, subtract a smaller rectangle from its center and fill the remainder?

****Never mind - I found the documentation for the multipoly tool.

Would have deleted this post, but I couldn't find a delete option - so edited instead.

Thanks,
Mosk

Yeah - multipoly is what you want. Make sure you are on the sheet and layer you want to be on. Then make sure you are on line width: 0 and fill style: hollow. Use the rectangle tool to draw the larger rectangle. Then use the rectangle tool to draw a smaller rectangle within the first. Then select Multipoly tool (it's on the same column on the right hand side as the rectangle tool). Select the two rectangles and then right click and Do It. Click on Change Fillstyle and then select one of the rectangles - you will see both are now highlighted since multipoly made them one entity. Right click and Do It, then select the fill style you want the object to be (such as solid, or use a bitmap fill etc.).

    Hope that helps.
