not sure about the varicolour thing, but to get rid of the white you need a program that allows for transparent layers. For example - in photoshop, you can open the image, create a new layer underneath (transparent) and then select and delete the white part from your original layer. You then save it as a .png and drop it into CC3. I think you might be able to do the same thing with GIMP (which is a free download), but I'm not 100%.

yeah...just played around with GIMP for a hot minute - pretty sure you can do it with that (probably have to use the scissor tool and then invert the selection to delete what you want.)

I don't use gimp so I can't tell you how to do it with that software.

I used Paint Shop Pro for this. It has the ability to set a specific color as transparent, so black and white gifs are fast and easy to convert. I won't have time today to make it vari-color, but here is the black symbol for now.

EDIT: One question. Is it possible to maintain the contour black and turn the inside of he figure as varicolour? Please, I not asking you to do it, only want to know if is also something simple to do.

I've done it for this symbol and attached the zip. It only takes me a few minutes to do these so if you will attach a zip of the images you want done I'll happily create a catalog of them in both styles. I don't know if I could describe how to do it.

I mention this because, being a naive sort of chap, I tend to assume that stuff posted on this forum has no
strings attached. That doesn't seem to be true in this case.

Thanks for this Peter! I'm usually very particular about checking the EULA for art before using it. I slipped up in this case and am glad that you caught it. Creating symbols and sharing them doesn't seem to violate the owners EULA, but it is obvious it is not for commercial use.

I'm going to take the files down for now. I'll include a copy of the EULA in the zip.

Unzip directly into the CC3 folder. If you are asked to overwrite files choose yes to all.

This is getting rather large and the bigger it gets the higher the chance that I've made a mistake somewhere. If you find a problem, let me know and I'll get it fixed. I'm glad everyone is enjoying this. Thanks for the inspiration to do it Mateus!

I'm going to try to figure out how to convert more images.

yeh I managed to get 1 icon but not 100% well. GIMP is very confusing and I'm not 100% how to turn them into varicolor either.

Do you have the Tome of Ultimate Mapping? There is a tutorial there in the symbols chapter that explains how to make varicolor symbols with GIMP.

Yea, the helpfiles contains quite a lot of information. Note that you have the same help files installed locally on your computer as well, simply select Help from the Help menu.
