Well, I decided to take part of my vacation time and work on the block diagrams that make up each of the thoussands of decks that make up the miles long, wide, and high starship I have slowly been working on.
Here is an overview of the ship. I thought I had posted it in the past, but no. I'm posting it so you can see just what it is I'm rambling about.

'Done' is where I think I am mostly complete on the block layout of the floor area. Each of these 25 sections is 1056 feet by 1056 feet. The top most decks of each top, and bottom, saucer area is one mile by one mile. The central decks, as you can see from my sketch above, is 5 miles by 5 miles.
'structure' is the location of the load bearing part of the ship.
One forest example. As you can see from the height info in the drawing, it takes up multiple decks. Those yellow and orange circles are carousels.
Drawing of Basic Deck, part 2 and 3 of 25 parts. Each is 1056 feet by 1056 feet. With a buffer area between each part of 50 feet. This is for electrical, communications, ventilation, water, etc. lines. Between each color area, there is a buffer area of 2 feet to 10 feet. Not obvious at this scale.
D = Dining
M = Medical
R = Recreation
S = Security
W = Water
The rest are named.
What do you think ? Any suggestions ?
Thanks.
( Yes, I do sleep. This is the work of years. I have many more maps on my Crestar site.)
Thanks !
