I decided to get Cosmographer 3 and gacve an attempt of drawing a small ship, not sure what to thing of it, though I do like the bridge.
Also it is a bit small... is there a way to make the jpeg a better quality? I am rambling... :S anyway, enjoy!

    After selecting an image file type in the Save As dialog, you can click the Options button to set export resolution and jpg quality. Also note that PNG is generally a better format for exporting maps, since it is lossless.
